Prescriptions
Two Routes. You Pick.
Most practices send your prescription one place and never mention there was a choice. As a member you get both options, and we will run the comparison for your specific medication rather than assume one is always better.
We send the prescription to whichever pharmacy you already use and you fill it on your plan. If your copay is low, this is usually the cheaper and faster answer, and there is nothing to ship.
This is the right route for a lot of common generics, and we will say so rather than route you through us on principle.
We order it at the price we pay, with no markup on the drug, and it ships to your door. Useful when you are uninsured, when you have a high deductible, or when your plan does not cover what you have been prescribed.
| Common generics, per tablet | about $0.50 to $0.85 |
| Typical 30-day supply | about $15 to $25 |
| Shipping, per order | about $15 |
| So one medication, delivered | about $30 to $40 |
Shipping is charged per order, not per medication, so filling three at once costs one shipping charge rather than three. That is worth timing.
We compare them for you.
Which route is cheaper depends on your plan, your deductible, your discount card, and the specific drug and dose. Sometimes it is obvious and sometimes it is close. Bring us what you currently pay and we will tell you honestly which way to go, medication by medication. Laboratory work is handled the same way, at our cost with nothing marked up, or billed to your insurance through Quest if that works out better for you.
Illustrative per-tablet pricing for common generic medications through our partner pharmacy. Actual cost depends on the medication, the dose, and current pharmacy pricing. Shipping is charged per order and varies with delivery speed. This covers the generic formulary rather than brand-name or specialty medications, and it is not insurance or a prescription drug benefit.
What Is DPC?
Personalized. Accessible. Relationship-Driven Care.
Direct Primary Care is a flat-fee medical membership that replaces the traditional insurance-based primary care model. Instead of volume-based medicine where you wait months for a rushed appointment, DPC gives you direct access to your provider, longer visits, and a real relationship built on continuity of care.
At Navara Health, DPC is delivered primarily by virtual care with in-clinic options for Dallas-area patients. Enrollment is by provider approval, which means every member is a fit for this model and your provider has the capacity to actually care for them properly.
"DPC is not insurance. It is a modern way to receive primary care that prioritizes time, access, and continuity."
Preventive care, wellness planning, chronic condition management, and medication management, all included in your membership.
No waiting months for an appointment. Members get priority access to their provider when they actually need care.
Reach your provider through secure virtual visits and messaging. Direct Care membership is Texas only. Our other services are available in 11 states.
Results reviewed, explained, and acted on. Coordination with specialists when needed. Your provider manages the full picture rather than one slice of it.
No surprise bills and no copays. One flat monthly fee covers your primary care, and it works alongside insurance or a high-deductible plan.
Send your prescription to your own pharmacy on your insurance, or order it through us at our wholesale cost plus shipping. We compare the two for you and the choice is yours.
Who DPC Is For
The Right Fit for the Right Patient.
DPC works best for patients who want a consistent provider relationship, proactive care, and transparent pricing, rather than fragmented reactive medicine. It is not the right answer for everyone, and we would rather say so at your discovery visit than take your money.
A good fit if you are
- Looking for a consistent provider who knows your history
- An adult seeking preventive and proactive healthcare
- Managing stable chronic conditions
- Taking regular medications and paying retail for them
- Wanting metabolic, hormone, and longevity oversight
- Insured, but wanting better access alongside it
- On a high-deductible plan and looking for affordable primary care
DPC does not cover
- Emergency care or hospital-based services
- Specialty care requiring procedures or imaging
- Surgical services
- Prescription drug coverage, this is not insurance
- Mental health medication management, we refer instead, see below
- Care for children, this is an adult practice
How to Enroll
Enrollment Is By Provider Approval.
DPC is designed for patients who are a genuine fit for this model of care. Before enrollment, everyone completes a discovery visit so your provider can confirm it is appropriate for your needs.
Schedule your virtual discovery visit. This is required before enrollment and cannot be skipped.
Your provider reviews your medical history, current medications, diagnoses, and expectations to confirm DPC fits what you need.
Once approved, you receive your membership details and begin your care relationship at Navara Health.

Common Questions
What Patients Ask Most
New Patients
Complete your intake before your visit.
Every new patient completes a medical intake and consent form before their first appointment. Doing it now means we can review your history in advance and spend the visit on you rather than paperwork. If you have laboratory work from the last 90 days, upload it here and we will review it before your visit.
Ready to Start?
Start With a Discovery Visit.
A $100 virtual discovery visit with Jessica Boggs, APRN. We review your history, your medications, and what you actually need, then tell you honestly whether Direct Care is the right fit. Membership is $99 a month for an individual and $179 for a couple, with no contract.
Direct Care is not insurance and does not replace it. Membership is available to Texas residents aged 18 to 64 and is by provider approval. Medication pricing reflects our partner pharmacy wholesale rates, is quoted per tablet, excludes shipping which is charged per order, and varies by product and dose. Prescriptions may alternatively be sent to your own pharmacy to be filled on your insurance. Prices are subject to change.
