What is the Aging Males' Symptoms scale?
The Aging Males' Symptoms scale is a validated 17-item clinical instrument scoring symptoms from 17 to 85 across three domains: somato-vegetative, psychological, and sexual. It is a symptom score, not a testosterone level.
My testosterone was called normal but I feel terrible. Why?
A total testosterone inside the reference range can still leave you symptomatic, particularly when SHBG is high and free testosterone is low. Most panels never measure free testosterone, which is one of the most common reasons men are told nothing is wrong.
Does testosterone therapy affect fertility?
Yes. Testosterone therapy suppresses the body's own production and can reduce sperm production, sometimes durably. For men who may want children, there are treatment paths that raise testosterone through the body's own system instead. That conversation belongs before a first prescription, not after.
Is this assessment free and private?
Yes. It costs nothing, requires no email to see your result, and is scored in your own browser. Your answers are only transmitted if you choose to send them to the clinic.
