Oral Medication Has the Stronger Evidence.
If you want the treatment with the most research behind it, that is oral therapy, and we will tell you so at your consultation. Tadalafil and sildenafil are FDA-approved, extensively studied, and inexpensive here, starting at $35. For a lot of men that is the right first step and the P-Shot is unnecessary.
The P-Shot is worth considering when oral medication has not worked well enough, when you cannot take it, or when you want to address tissue and blood flow rather than manage a single episode. That is a legitimate reason. It is just not the same claim.

A small blood draw is spun down at your appointment to concentrate platelets and growth factors. That concentrate is injected into specific areas after topical numbing. Nothing synthetic is added.
The intent is to stimulate tissue regeneration and blood flow. Changes typically develop over four to twelve weeks rather than immediately.
Erectile dysfunction is frequently the first visible sign of a vascular or metabolic problem, often years before anything else shows up. Low testosterone, insulin resistance, blood pressure, and lipids all belong in this conversation.

A small blood draw, spun down while you wait, then injected. About 45 minutes in total. Back to normal activity the same day, with intimacy generally fine after 24 to 48 hours.

Important information about this procedure
The P-Shot is an off-label use of platelet-rich plasma. PRP is not FDA-approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and no botulinum toxin product is FDA-approved for penile injection. Both are used here off-label, which is legal and common in medicine when supported by clinical judgment and informed consent.
The evidence base is smaller than for the oral medications above, response varies between individuals, and no specific result can be promised in advance. Some men notice a meaningful difference and some do not. If you want the option with the strongest evidence behind it, that is oral therapy.
Treatment eligibility is determined following a clinical evaluation and is not guaranteed. Risks, benefits, realistic expectations, and alternatives are reviewed with you in detail before anything is performed.
On testosterone. If your evaluation points toward testosterone therapy, note that it is a Schedule III controlled substance requiring an in-person visit and available to Texas patients only. Outside Texas we can discuss enclomiphene, which raises your own testosterone, is not controlled, and can be managed virtually in all 11 states.
