The People Behind Navara
Three People. You Will Know Which One You Are Seeing.
Small on purpose. One provider who sees you every visit, one physician who oversees the practice and will take your call, and one nurse who performs the treatments she is trained and delegated to perform. Nothing about who does what is left vague.
Jessica Boggs
Jessica is the provider you see. Every hormone, thyroid, weight management, regenerative and urgent care visit at Navara is hers, in clinic and by virtual visit. There is no rotating panel and no handoff to whoever has an opening.
She is board certified as both a family nurse practitioner and an emergency nurse practitioner, and she still works in an emergency department. That matters more than it sounds. Emergency medicine trains you to find the thing that is actually wrong rather than the thing that is easiest to name, and to say plainly when a symptom does not add up.
She built Navara because she kept meeting people whose labs had been called normal and who still felt terrible. The practice runs on reading results line by line and explaining what every number means before anything is prescribed.
- Board certified family nurse practitioner, FNP-C
- Board certified emergency nurse practitioner, ENP-C
- Licensed in eleven states for virtual care
- Cellular Medicine Association certified provider
Simal Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is the collaborating physician for Navara Health. Jessica prescribes under a written prescriptive authority agreement with him, and he is the delegating physician for every aesthetic procedure performed in the clinic.
He is also patient facing. He sees patients by appointment, and if you would like to speak with a physician about your care, the office will arrange a call. That is deliberate. Most cash-pay nurse practitioner clinics list a physician somewhere in the fine print and you never hear from him.
- Collaborating physician under a written prescriptive authority agreement
- Delegating physician for all nonsurgical medical cosmetic procedures
- Sees patients at Navara by appointment
- Available by phone at your request, arranged through the office
Rocio Gonzalez
Rocio performs the aesthetic and hair restoration treatments at Navara. Neurotoxin, dermal filler, microneedling, IV therapy and injections, and the scalp treatments in the hair program including PRP, PRF and LED.
She works under written delegation from Dr. Patel, with Jessica providing the good faith exam, the treatment plan and on-site oversight. Your evaluation, your diagnosis and anything prescribed stay with Jessica. Rocio performs the treatment.

How Care Is Structured
Who Does What, and Who Answers For It.
Texas has specific rules about which clinician may do which thing, and who carries responsibility for it. Most clinics do not explain this to patients. It is worth two minutes of your time, because it tells you what kind of practice you are walking into.
Evaluation and prescribing
Jessica. She takes the history, reads the labs, makes the diagnosis and writes anything prescribed, under a written prescriptive authority agreement with Dr. Patel.
Physician oversight
Dr. Patel. He is the collaborating physician and the delegating physician for cosmetic procedures. His name and license number are posted in the clinic as Texas requires you to be able to see them.
Treatment delivery
Rocio for aesthetics, IV therapy and scalp treatments, under written delegation with Jessica's good faith exam and on-site oversight.
