The O-Shot® in Dallas, TX
Platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood and injected into the clitoris and anterior vaginal wall, with the intent of improving sensitivity, lubrication, and arousal. Performed by Jessica Boggs, APRN, a female provider, at our Dallas clinic. $1,200.
What It Is
Your Own Platelets, Placed Precisely.
A small blood draw is spun down at your appointment to concentrate the platelets and growth factors. That concentrate is then injected into specific areas of the clitoris and anterior vaginal wall after topical numbing. Nothing synthetic is added, and nothing foreign goes in.
The intent is to stimulate tissue regeneration and blood flow in the area. Changes typically develop over four to twelve weeks rather than immediately, because tissue remodelling is gradual.
"A female provider, a private clinic, and an unhurried conversation. This is not a thing you should have to explain twice at a front desk."
Reduced sensitivity or difficulty reaching orgasm. Dryness and discomfort, particularly after menopause. Low arousal despite wanting to feel differently. Discomfort with intimacy. Mild stress incontinence, which some women report improving.
Many arrive after being told this is simply age, or after a conversation that ended in an antidepressant.
A great deal of what brings women to this page is estrogen and testosterone, not tissue. Vaginal dryness after menopause is frequently a hormone problem with a hormone answer, and topical estrogen is inexpensive, well studied, and FDA-approved.
Your hormone evaluation is included in the consultation. If hormones are the answer, we will tell you that before you spend $1,200.
What to Expect
The Appointment
A proper conversation about what has changed, your history, and your hormones. Available by virtual visit if you would rather have this discussion from home. We will tell you honestly whether this is the right treatment for you.
Topical anaesthetic is applied and given time to work. Most women describe the procedure as far more comfortable than they expected, and the anticipation as worse than the reality.
A small blood draw, spun down while you wait, then injected. The whole appointment runs about 45 minutes. You go back to normal activity the same day, with intimacy generally fine after 24 hours.
Changes develop gradually as tissue responds. Some women notice something within a few weeks, others closer to three months. Some notice little. We follow up rather than leaving you to wonder.

Important information about this procedure
The O-Shot is an off-label use of platelet-rich plasma. PRP is not FDA-approved for the treatment of sexual function. It is used here off-label, which is legal and common in medicine when supported by clinical judgment and informed consent.
The evidence base is smaller than for FDA-approved treatments, response varies between individuals, and no specific result can be promised in advance. Some women notice a meaningful difference and some do not.
Treatment eligibility is determined following a clinical evaluation and is not guaranteed. Risks, benefits, realistic expectations, and alternatives are reviewed with you in detail before anything is performed. If hormone therapy or a different treatment is more likely to help you, we will say so.
