Low Testosterone Is a Medical Issue, Not a Character Flaw.

Testosterone levels begin declining gradually after age 30 in most men. By their 40s and 50s, many men are experiencing real symptoms that affect their energy, drive, mood, and physical performance without knowing that a treatable hormonal decline is part of what is driving it.

Many of these symptoms are dismissed as stress, aging, or lifestyle. We take them seriously as clinical signs that deserve proper evaluation. Low T is diagnosable, and in men who are candidates, it is treatable.

One thing worth knowing before you treat the symptom. New or worsening erectile dysfunction is associated with cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and it can appear years before either is diagnosed. That is why your evaluation includes a metabolic panel and not only a hormone panel. Treating the symptom without looking for the cause is how the more serious thing gets missed.

Testosterone replacement therapy is prescribed at provider discretion following a full clinical evaluation including lab review, health history, PSA screening, and assessment of contraindications. TRT is not appropriate for all men and eligibility is determined at your intake visit. Testosterone is a controlled substance available only to Texas patients. Enclomiphene citrate is not FDA-approved for the treatment of male hypogonadism and is prescribed off-label. Compounded preparations are prepared by licensed 503A compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved in the same manner as commercially manufactured drugs.

Results take 7 to 14 days. That wait exists because we order testosterone by mass spectrometry, which is a send-out, rather than the faster immunoassay most clinics use. A panel finishes when its slowest test finishes.

Testosterone Protocols That Fit Your Life.

If TRT is indicated following your evaluation, your provider selects the delivery method based on your labs, lifestyle, and goals. All protocols are individualized. No one-size-fits-all approaches.

Subcutaneous or Intramuscular Injections

Most common approach. Self-administered at home on a weekly or biweekly schedule. Provides stable, predictable testosterone levels. All supplies included.

Topical Creams and Gels

Applied to skin daily for steady absorption. Good option for men who prefer to avoid injections. Requires consistent application and care around transfer to others.

Compounded Troches or Capsules

Used in specific clinical situations based on patient preference and provider recommendation. Less common but available when indicated.

Texas requires an in-person visit to initiate TRT and annually to continue. Your First Month must be completed in person at our Dallas clinic at 5301 Alpha Rd, Suite 34, Room 21. After your initial evaluation and annual in-person check-ins, ongoing management can be handled by virtual care.

Not Near Dallas?

You still have a real option, and for some men it is the better one.

Testosterone is a controlled substance, so we cannot start it without seeing you. Enclomiphene is not, which means the entire program runs by telehealth in all 11 states where we are licensed, with no drive to Dallas at any point.

It is not a consolation prize. Enclomiphene raises your own testosterone by releasing the brake on your pituitary, so your testes keep working instead of shutting down. If children are still on the table, it is the better starting point regardless of where you live.

Required by Texas law. Lab panel and PSA included. Full symptom and health history review with your Navara provider. Whether TRT is clinically appropriate is determined at this visit, and if it is not, we will tell you what is going on instead.

Protocol decision and medication selection

If TRT is indicated, your provider selects your protocol based on your labs and clinical picture. Your prescription is filled by our compounding pharmacy, with all supplies included.

Membership begins, $199 per month

Monthly membership covers ongoing protocol management, prescription refills, secure messaging with your provider, and your follow-up visits.

Monitoring at six months, in person once a year

Your baseline panel and a repeat at six months are both included. Hematocrit and PSA are followed throughout. An in-person visit is required at least once annually to maintain your TRT prescription per Texas law. If your results or symptoms call for a check sooner, we will say so.

Yes, through enclomiphene, which runs entirely by telehealth in all 11 states where we are licensed. We cannot start testosterone without seeing you, because the law does not allow it. For many men, and particularly men who may still want children, enclomiphene is the better starting point anyway. Your labs tell us whether it will work for you, and we send the draw order to a location near your home.
What is the difference between testosterone and enclomiphene? ▾
Testosterone replaces the hormone directly, which works faster but suppresses your body's own production and can reduce fertility. Enclomiphene stimulates your pituitary so your own testes produce more testosterone, which preserves fertility but generally produces a smaller rise and takes longer. Enclomiphene is prescribed off-label and is not FDA-approved for the treatment of male hypogonadism. Which is appropriate depends on your labs, your goals, and whether you may want children.
What is a good testosterone level for a man? ▾
Reference ranges vary by lab but generally fall between 300 and 1000 ng/dL for total testosterone. At Navara Health, we look at both total and free testosterone, SHBG, and your symptoms together. A number at the low end of normal may still be suboptimal for you. The goal is not just to be in range, it is to be at a level where you actually feel well.
Will TRT affect my fertility? ▾
Testosterone replacement therapy can suppress sperm production, sometimes to zero, and that does not always reverse. If you are planning to have children, this is an important conversation to have before starting TRT. Enclomiphene raises testosterone through your own system and preserves fertility, which is why it exists as an option here. Your provider will discuss both at your intake visit.
How long before I feel a difference on TRT? ▾
Most men notice initial improvements in energy and mood within 4 to 6 weeks. Libido and sexual function often improve in the first 3 months. Body composition changes typically take 3 to 6 months. Full optimization can take 6 to 12 months as your protocol is adjusted. Individual results vary.
What are the risks of testosterone replacement therapy? ▾
Potential risks include increased red blood cell count (hematocrit), fluid retention, acne, changes in PSA, testicular atrophy, and fertility effects. These risks are monitored through your labs. Risks and benefits are reviewed in detail at your intake visit. TRT is not appropriate for all men and your provider will evaluate your individual risk profile before making any prescribing decisions.
Do I need a PSA test before starting TRT? ▾
Yes. A PSA test is required before initiating TRT and is included in your baseline panel. PSA is also monitored throughout your membership per clinical safety protocols. This is standard of care for testosterone therapy in men.

Laboratory Work

Two panels a year included. Everything else, your choice.

Your membership includes your baseline panel when you start and a repeat at six months, both ordered and paid for by us. Sometimes your results or symptoms call for a check before the next scheduled panel. When that happens you have three ways to handle it.

Use your insurance

We send the order to Quest or LabCorp and they bill your plan directly.

We cannot guarantee coverage. Your plan, your deductible, and how your insurer classifies the test decide what you owe. Insurers frequently deny hormone testing as not medically necessary. Call the number on your card or contact Quest before your draw to confirm.

Bring labs from your PCP

If your primary care provider orders similar testing and it is covered under your plan, bring us the results.

As long as they are current, include the markers we need, and come from an accredited laboratory, we will use them. This is often the least expensive route, and we will tell you exactly what to ask your PCP to order.

We build a bundle of only the markers your situation calls for rather than a full panel.

You get the price before the order is placed, so there are no surprises. A single follow-up marker is often under $30.

Safety monitoring is not optional. Testosterone therapy requires hematocrit surveillance. Certain medications require kidney or liver checks. Where a test is required for safe prescribing, we will tell you it is required rather than optional, and treatment continues once it is completed.
