What is the Menopause Rating Scale?
The Menopause Rating Scale is a validated 11-item clinical instrument used in research worldwide. It scores menopause symptoms from 0 to 44 across three domains: somatic, psychological, and urogenital.
Can my labs be normal if I still feel awful?
Yes. Reference ranges are built from population averages rather than from how you feel, and several relevant tests are frequently never ordered at all. Free testosterone, SHBG, free T3, and ferritin are common examples.
Do I need a hormone level to know if I am in perimenopause?
Usually not. For most women over 45 with typical symptoms and changing cycles, perimenopause is identified from clinical history. Hormone levels swing widely week to week during the transition, so a single draw can be misleading.
Is this assessment free and private?
Yes. It costs nothing, requires no email to see your result, and is scored in your own browser. Your answers are only transmitted if you choose to send them to the clinic.
