Medical Weight Management Built Around Your Biology
Weight loss is influenced by more than calories. Hormones, insulin resistance, thyroid function, stress physiology, and metabolic adaptation all play a role. Our programs address the full picture, not just the number on the scale.
Wegovy through NovoCare Pharmacy from $349 a month, and Zepbound through LillyDirect from $299 a month on self-pay, which is considerably less than retail pharmacy pricing. Insurance pathways are also available, and we submit prior authorizations on your behalf.
You pay the manufacturer's program directly for the medication. Our fee covers the clinical care around it: your evaluation, labs, titration, side effect management, and follow-up.
A compounded preparation is prescribed when there is a specific clinical reason for it, most commonly a dose or dosing schedule the commercial product cannot deliver, or a formulation that needs something added, such as B vitamins.
It is a clinical decision made for you at your visit, documented in your chart, and filled by a licensed 503A pharmacy against your individual prescription.
Important notice about compounded medications
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved and are not the same as brand-name Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, or Zepbound. They are prepared by a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy against an individual prescription and have not undergone FDA review for safety, efficacy, or manufacturing quality. Individual results vary. All prescribing is done after a thorough medical evaluation by your Navara provider, and eligibility is not guaranteed.

Medical Eligibility
Not Everyone Qualifies. That Is How It Should Be.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide are prescription medications. A thorough medical evaluation is required before any prescription is written. The following conditions may disqualify you or require additional review at your consultation.
GLP-1 medications are not indicated for individuals with a BMI below 27. A BMI of 27 or higher with at least one weight-related health condition is typically required for prescribing.
A personal history of a clinically diagnosed eating disorder is a contraindication that requires careful provider evaluation.
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not appropriate for patients with Type 1 diabetes or those using insulin. Patients with Type 2 diabetes require additional review.
Active gallbladder disease or a history of gallstones may affect eligibility. GLP-1 medications have been associated with gallbladder-related events and require provider evaluation.
Active substance use or a recent history of substance use disorder is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This must be disclosed at your consultation.
Patients who have undergone bariatric surgery within the past 12 months require additional evaluation before GLP-1 medications can be considered.
A personal history of pancreatitis is a contraindication. GLP-1 receptor agonists have been associated with pancreatitis risk and cannot be prescribed to patients with this history.
A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 2 is an absolute contraindication for GLP-1 medications.
GLP-1 medications are not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Patients actively planning to become pregnant in the near term are also not appropriate candidates.
Patients with a history of diabetic retinopathy require additional evaluation. Rapid glycemic changes associated with GLP-1 therapy may affect retinopathy status and must be reviewed.

Your provider will review your full medical history, current medications, and any additional risk factors at your consultation before any prescription is written. Disclosing your complete health history is essential for your safety. If you are unsure whether a condition applies to you, bring it up at your appointment. We will not prescribe without a thorough evaluation.
Where BMI sits in this
BMI is one factor, not the whole picture. Your provider will also review your health history, current medications, and any weight-related conditions at your consultation. Some patients with a BMI slightly below 27 may still qualify depending on clinical context.
- BMI 30 or above, typically eligible
- BMI 27 to 29.9, eligible with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, or sleep apnea
- BMI under 27, generally not eligible
Program Pricing
Transparent Pricing. No Hidden Fees.
Medication pricing is per month and based on dosage tier. Your provider recommends the appropriate starting tier based on your health history and goals. Programs are available in clinic in Dallas and by virtual care in 11 states. Financing is available through Cherry.
You pay the manufacturer directly for brand-name medication. Wegovy self-pay through NovoCare currently starts around $349 a month and Zepbound through LillyDirect around $299, depending on your dose. That money goes to Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly, not to us. Insurance may reduce it further. We do not mark up brand-name medication and we do not take a cut of it. Our fee above covers the clinical care around it, and nothing else. You are paying for evaluation, monitoring, dose decisions and refill authorization, not for a prescription. What we prescribe is always a clinical decision. Labs are not included in brand-name management and are priced separately.

Wegovy and Zepbound self-pay pricing through NovoCare and LillyDirect requires that refills be completed within 45 days of your previous supply to maintain the lowest available price tier.
To protect your pricing, submit your refill request at least 7 business days before day 38 of your current supply. Monthly management patients are contacted before that window opens, so in practice you should not have to track it yourself. That gives our team time to review and send your prescription electronically, and gives the pharmacy time to process and ship before your 45-day window closes.
Refill requests received after this window may result in a gap in supply or loss of self-pay pricing eligibility. Navara Health is not responsible for pricing changes or supply gaps resulting from late refill requests.
