LED Light Therapy in Dallas, TX
Professional photobiomodulation using FDA-cleared Celluma devices. Used on its own, and built into Navara hair restoration, skin renewal and acne protocols. Sessions from $49.
What It Actually Is
Light That Cells Use, Not Light That Heats Skin.
An LED panel delivers specific wavelengths of red, near-infrared or blue light to the tissue. The light is absorbed by cells and is understood to increase cellular energy production, change local blood flow, and affect inflammation.
It is not a laser. It does not cut, burn or remove tissue, and it produces no ultraviolet light. There is no downtime and nothing to recover from. You lie under a panel, or the panel shapes around the area being treated, and then you leave.
"What it is not is fast. Most protocols need four to sixteen weeks before a change is visible, and improvement stops when treatment stops."
The device used for scalp work. FDA-cleared for hair restoration, aging skin, acne, pain management and body contouring, and it shapes to the head.
The Hair Growth program is a specific protocol, not general red light, and it calls for more frequent treatment than an occasional LED facial.
The large professional panel. FDA-cleared for acne, aging skin, pain management and body contouring, with the coverage a bigger treatment area needs.
It has no hair program and is not designed for use over the scalp, so scalp treatment always runs on the NOVA.
FDA cleared is not FDA approved, and neither is a promise
Clearance means the FDA reviewed the device and agreed it is substantially equivalent to one already on the market for the same use. Approval is a higher standard applied mostly to drugs and high-risk devices. Neither one means the treatment will work for you.
Two other phrases show up constantly in this category. FDA registered means a company listed itself in a database and nobody reviewed the device. Medical grade has no regulatory meaning at all. Navara treats neither as evidence of anything.
Where We Use It
What Navara Treats With LED
Built into the Navara hair restoration programs alongside PRP or PRF and scalp microneedling, and available on its own for patients who want light therapy without injections. Detail on the hair restoration page.
Included at every microneedling and regenerative skin visit as part of the recovery protocol, and available on its own for fine lines and skin quality. Detail on the microneedling page.
Blue light targets the bacteria involved in inflammatory acne, which red light alone does not do. Combined with a medical skin plan rather than sold as a standalone fix.
Used after microneedling and regenerative skin treatments to support the recovery protocol. It is an adjunct to the procedure, not a treatment on its own.
Transparent Pricing
LED Sessions in Clinic
LED works through repetition, which is why it is priced to be used rather than priced to be impressive. Packages apply to any mode: hair, skin or acne.
Before You Book
Who This Is For, and Who It Is Not.
Hair candidacy has real limits
The hair growth clearance was granted for specific patterns of loss and specific skin types. Outside those groups the treatment has not been tested and may not work. We will tell you which group you fall into rather than sell you a program either way.
LED does not create new follicles. It works on follicles that are still alive. If your loss is advanced, the honest answer is a transplant referral, and you should hear that before you pay for anything.
Tell us what you are taking
Some medications and supplements make light hit harder. This is the risk that actually matters, and it changes every time a prescription changes. Isotretinoin and other retinoids, doxycycline and other tetracyclines, sulfa drugs, some diuretics, amiodarone, and St. John's wort all increase sensitivity, as do lupus, porphyria and any diagnosed photosensitivity disorder.
When LED is not used
Over an active or suspected skin cancer or any lesion that has not been evaluated. Over an active cancer in the treatment field without oncology clearance. Over the abdomen during pregnancy. With a history of seizure disorder triggered by light, since some modes pulse. Over open or infected skin. Eye protection is provided and is not optional. LED at Navara is for adults 18 and older.
Between Visits
Home Devices, and How Not to Waste Your Money.
Some protocols work better with more frequent treatment than is practical in clinic. A home device is one way to close that gap. A Navara LED package is the other, and either choice is fine.
The FDA reviewed the device for the exact condition it is listed under, so we can tell you it is intended to treat that condition. These generally run $349 and up.
Lower-cost devices that are not FDA cleared for hair loss, acne or wrinkles. They often use the same wavelengths and plenty of people use them happily, but no regulator has evaluated them, so we make no claim they will treat your condition. Roughly $60 to $250.
Navara takes no money from any device company
No commissions, no referral fees, no rebates. You buy directly from the manufacturer or retailer. Navara does not sell, stock, service or warranty home devices, and no part of your treatment plan depends on buying one.
Navara's professional Celluma devices stay in the clinic. They are not sold, rented or loaned. Ask for the at-home device guide at your visit and we will send it with current links.
